The curriculum addresses both academic and industrial challenges, with a focus on economic and societal issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduates gain advanced expertise in the development and physico-chemical characterization of materials and coatings, as well as their applications in key sectors such as energy, environmental science, biomedicine, aeronautics, and aerospace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon completion, professionals are prepared to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop new products, innovative solutions, and processes in research laboratories or corporate R&amp;D departments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead projects for product development and improvement, with a focus on materials engineering, while integrating safety standards, sustainable development, and environmental re<strong>sponsibility<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leverage their knowledge of the chemistry and physical chemistry of materials\u2014including particles, powders, and thin films to drive innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Trained in scientific literature analysis, graduates become catalysts for innovation in materials science, contributing to both experimental advancements and feasibility studies. Their communication, leadership, and technical advisory skills enable them to manage teams and collaborate effectively with partners and clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Curriculum<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ACAM Master\u2019s program spans two academic years, divided into four semesters. Each semester awards 30 ECTS credits, culminating in a total of 120 ECTS upon completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program boasts a strong international dimension, with all courses delivered in English and taught by highly qualified researchers recognized globally for their expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First year: Shared with the EIPHI <a href=\"https:\/\/gradschool.eiphi.ubfc.fr\/?page_id=3167\">Master CDM<\/a>, this year is hosted at the University of Bourgogne Europe in Dijon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second year: Takes place at the University Marie &amp; Louis Pasteur in Besan\u00e7on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gradschool.eiphi.ubfc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/program.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2416\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Courses<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organic electrochemistry, analytical electrochemistry, electrochemistry for surfacetreatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Molecular materials (polymers and biopolymers, assemblies on surfaces)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Molecular materials for space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Porous materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Divided materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dispersed materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physicochemical characterization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Characterization of coatings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scientific communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The main skills expected at the end of the training program are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participate in an R&amp;D project, designing specifications for the development of a new material;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify appropriate and suitable techniques for developing a material or coating;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optimize the development of a material or coating;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovate and develop new materials or coatings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Characterize the physical and chemical properties of materials or coatings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adapt the material or coating to the intended application;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote the incorporation of the material or coating into a product for a given application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Entry requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A degree equivalent to or higher than a Bachelor\u2019s degree (3 or 4 year Degree) with a background in material science or applied chemistry (Bachelor of Chemical Engineering or of Material Engineering). Courses waivers can be given depending on your former undergraduate program content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The applicant should have a level of English and a background on \u201ccontrol systems\u201d following the UMLP\/UBE criteria. Additionally to these, the motivations and the professional project of the applicant are also examined carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several applications are possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entering directly in Master 1 at UBE: application is made through the dedicated platform (see Apply below).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entering in Master 2: this is possible for those who have at least the level of Master 1 and who have very good tracks in the required background.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entering through a partner university: students from one of the partner unversities who would like to enroll the ACAM master within a dual-degree track can be informed by the contact person at these universities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Careers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Researchers in higher education; teacher-researchers in higher education; research engineers in higher education; engineers and executives in industry; engineers in charge of management, methods or industrialization; design, research or development<br>engineers in the industrial sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Grants<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year, a very limited number of UBFC scholarships could be offered on the basis of tracks and academic records. Application to such scholarships must be done no latter than the beginning of Master-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Site of training<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The training sites are located in <strong>Dijon and Besan\u00e7on<\/strong>, two historic French cities renowned for their charming stone architecture, vibrant culture, and diverse activities\u2014ranging from sports to arts and student life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately <strong>10% of the population<\/strong> in these cities and their surrounding areas are students or interns, creating a dynamic and youthful atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Center of Applied Languages (CLA)<\/strong>, part of the University Marie et Louis Pasteur (UMLP), is one of France\u2019s and the world\u2019s leading language learning centers.
