The experiments on this type of torch fall into two categories: 1) Analysis of the arc voltage, observation of the displacement of the arc foot in the nozzle, collection of spectroscopic data on the plasma jet. 2) Measurement of the characteristics of the injected particles (velocity, temperature, trajectory) to optimise the properties of the deposits<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The experimental work proposed in this project is part of the collaboration between the industrial partner GULHFI (Switzerland), which developed the modular cascade torches, and the laboratory, ICB-PMDM-LERMPS (TITAN platform), which has complementary diagnostic systems: 1) A high performance fast camera to observe the arc jet and attachment 2) A fast oscilloscope for time tracking of the arc voltage synchronised to the camera to link voltage and arc foot displacement 3) Hardware for in-flight particle diagnostics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is held by ICB ( Marie Pierre Planche <a href=\"mailto:marie-pierre.planche@utbm.fr\">marie-pierre.planche@utbm.fr<\/a>) and is supported by the Bourgogne Franche-Comt\u00e9 region and the National Research Agency (ANR): <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bourgognefranchecomte.fr\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" class=\"wp-image-240\" style=\"width: 150px;height: 82px\" src=\"https:\/\/gradschool.eiphi.ubfc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/logo-CRBFC.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/anr.fr\/en\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"178\" height=\"177\" class=\"wp-image-669\" style=\"width: 80px;height: 80px\" src=\"https:\/\/gradschool.eiphi.ubfc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/anr.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gradschool.eiphi.ubfc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/anr.png 178w, https:\/\/gradschool.eiphi.ubfc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/anr-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 178px) 100vw, 178px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gradschool.eiphi.ubfc.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Template-fiche-poste-darut.pdf\">One Ph.D position is opened <\/a><\/strong>for this project.
