EIPHI Program in Hydrogen, Energy, Energetic Efficiency

The program is focused on the integration of thermal, electrical and hydrogen-based systems in stationary and transportation applications, with the final aims of increased efficiency and of sustainable development. The students are strongly involved in experimental activities thanks to two unique platforms: FCLAB and EcoCampus. The program is organized in parallel with a joint degree with UFC and the final year of the engineering school UTBM. Two tracks are presented thereafter :

A successful graduate of the program will know:

• How to control energy production systems, in particular of renewable origin or using the hydrogen-energy vector,
• How to model multiphysics systems for energy flow management, Electrical micro-grids and electrical energy storage systems,
• How to control electrical or hybrid electric propulsion systems of land vehicles (rail or automobiles),
• How to design electric actuators, electric drives and fuel cell systems,
• How to design, model, optimize and manage thermal systems,
• Tools and methods for digital engineering in thermal engineering,

Entry requirements

A degree equivalent to or higher than a Bachelor’s degree (3 or 4 years degree) in Electrical or Engineering Science for the Electrical Engineering track, and in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Science for the Thermal Energy and Engineering track. The model semester plan is presented in the Flyer below. Courses waivers can be given depending on your former undergraduate program content.
